WHAT: The Coal Street Park ice rink in Scranton, Pa., received $1 million in federal stimulus funds for renovations. The ice rink will soon be home to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, an American Hockey League team.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: An ice rink is neat and all, but taxpayers could have used the money to do more productive things like start businesses.
