Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of the late Whitney Houston, opened up to Oprah over the weekend about the death of her mother and the need to move forward.
“I’m doing as good as I possibly can,” Bobbi Kristina said. “Just trying to keep going.”
Oprah stopped by the home of Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, Patricia Houston, to talk with some of the late singer’s closest family members.
Bobbi Kristina said in the interview that she’s “accepted” that her mother is gone, saying, “I’ve got to keep moving. I’ve got to carry on her legacy.”
While she may want to carry on her mom’s legacy, she doesn’t seem to want to carry on her father’s.
According to TMZ, the aspiring singer/actress/dancer wants to cut Bobby Brown out of her life. Well at least his name.
A source told the gossip site that the 19-year-old has wanted to change her name for years (ever since her parents split up), but Whitney wouldn’t let her.
Now that her mother is gone, Bobbi Kristina is reportedly ready to change her name for good — to Kristina Houston.
No word yet on when this change will be official.
Ryan didn’t ditch Eva last weekend
Rumors spread over the weekend that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes split up, but it’s looking like that was just a false alarm.
The Daily Mail reported that the swoon-worthy actor, 31, was planning a breakup with the gorgeous actress, 38, and that he was spotted having dinner with a blond German actress in Cape Town, South Africa.
But a source tells Us Weekly that the couple is doing just fine.
Eva’s rep also denied the breakup rumors.
As for Ryan’s sexy dinner date? Us reports (via Lainey Gossip) that the “Drive” star never left Bangkok, Thailand, over the weekend where he’s been filming “Only God Forgives” for more than a month.
And all those frowns you see today are because of the news Ryan isn’t on the market again.
Brad makes it right
Brad Pitt was in New Orleans this weekend for the annual Make It Right fundraiser to generate money for low-income housing that suffered after Hurricane Katrina.
Brad, who co-hosted the event with Ellen DeGeneres, had a lot of stars on hand to help raise money.
Angelina Jolie was there (natch), along with Harrison Ford, Blake Lively, Morgan Freeman, Minka Kelly, Josh Brolin and Drew Brees.
Sheryl Crow, Kanye West, Rihanna and Snoop Dogg performed during the event.
Thank you, superstars! This has been a nice break from scandals and rumors!
