Harry might be able to “reid” again thanks to Rand Paul.
Senate Minority Leader Reid (D-Nev.) publicly praised the Kentucky Republican senator — who is an ophthalmologist — Wednesday for giving him advice on how to regain vision in his right eye following Reid’s accident New Year’s Day, according to Politico.
The two were seen chatting on the Senate floor Wednesday morning, after which Reid said that he wants “the people of Kentucky to know how thoughtful, considerate and kind” their senator is.
Reid insisted that Paul “has been so kind and thoughtful and considerate in visiting with me: giving me encouragement and some expert advice as to what he’s seen in the past. And giving me hope for better sight out of my right eye.”
“I really appreciate it very, very much,” he added before ultimately scolding Senate Republicans for the chamber’s latest gridlock.
Reid was rendered temporarily blind in his right eye following an accident with exercise equipment at his Las Vegas home on January 1. He also suffered several broken ribs.
Could this be the beginning of some bEYEpartisanship in the Senate? We’ll keep an eye on it.
