First lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey have come up with a fancy way to make leaving the White House easy to swallow — glamping.
In an interview, Winfrey shrugged off Obama’s plan to shop at Target in a step toward a more normal life, and the first lady jumped at it.
“I’ve got a better idea,” said the Obama pal. “Better than shopping. So much better than shopping,” she said in the interview on CBS and Oprah Winfrey Network.

Then she suggested glamping, or glamorous camping.
And Winfrey even had a glamping focus. “Truffle hunting,” she offered.
“I’m down for glamping,” said Obama. She even suggested doing it in Yosemite National Park.
OBAMA: We can promote the national parks. Yosemite is beautiful. We’re on. We’re on. Somebody’s going to start calling you for that one. That sounds fun. I would love to do that.
OPRAH: Don’t think I’m not calling you.
OBAMA: I’m serious. Like I say, I don’t make claims to do stuff that I’m not gonna do. I’m down for glamping.
