Celebrate the holidays and help homeless animals on Saturday at the Washington Humane Society’s Hope for the Holidays Open House.
You can enjoy holiday décor, music and treats, shop for WHS stocking stuffers and gifts, bring a donation for the WHS Toy and Treat Drive for shelter pets and sponsor a homeless animal. Of course, you can also meet adoptable animals and maybe give the greatest gift of all.
The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the WHS Shelter, 7319 Georgia Ave. NW, and the D.C. Animal Care and Control Facility, 1201 New York Ave. NE.
