Report: Trump to start serious VP vetting next week

Donald Trump’s campaign next week will “fully” begin the process of vetting vice presidential, according to CNN.

Trump has suggested he will choose someone who has political experience and can work with Congress. Last week, Ben Carson, who serves as an adviser to Trump, revealed that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin were on the list, but he later backed off the remark.

Others whose names are frequently mentioned are former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Ohio Sen. Rob Portman.

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is in charge of the process and Washington attorney A.B. Culvahouse is leading the vetting.
