C-SPAN to air remote statements from House members for first time

C-SPAN agreed to air statements on a $2 trillion stimulus and aid package from members of Congress who are unable to be in Washington due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is the first time that the network, a private nonprofit company created by cable networks in 1979 to capture full proceedings of the federal government, will air “brief video statements” on legislation from House members not physically in Washington, D.C. Members can use the opportunity to explain “their positions on the emergency Coronavirus relief legislation.”
