Two polls show Trump bounce, up to 4 points, ‘a sizable swing’

PHILADELPHIARepublican presidential candidate Donald Trump is seeing a solid polling bounce from his nominating convention in Cleveland, and now Hillary Clinton is set to orchestrate her own bounce here.

Morning Consult gave Trump a four point edge, his biggest, in their ongoing poll.

CBS showed a two point rise for Trump, who leads 42 percent to 40 percent. CBS said that Clinton closed that gap to 1 point after selecting Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her running mate.

What’s more, the network said that Trump helped to unify the GOP. “After the Republican National Convention, voters overall – and Republicans in particular – think better of Trump. In addition, Republicans are far more likely to say their party is united now (44 percent) than said so just over a week ago (16 percent),” said the poll analysis.

Morning Consult called the Trump bounce a “sizable swing.”
