Drivers see gas prices continue to climb

Rising gas prices continue to assault Maryland motorists? wallets. A gallon of regular, unleaded gas in Maryland is $2.54, AAA reported. This is an increase of more than 32 cents from the same time last month and 18 cents since the beginning of the month. Statewide, drivers have not seen an average rate this high since Sept. 18, 2006. “The silver lining in what has amounted to a six-week storm cloud is that the average price in Maryland rose only two cents since last week,” AAA Mid-Atlantic Manager of Public and Government Affairs Ragina Averella said in a statement.
