A former employee at an Alexandria barber shop has been charged in a shooting that killed one man and wounded another at the business.
Fairfax County police said 44-year-old Hung T. Nguyen, of Annandale, turned himself in Wednesday night.
Police say Nguyen entered the Belle View Barber Shop, located at 1608 Belle View Blvd., at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday and shot two employees. One, 39-year-old Le D. Hoang, of Alexandria, was killed. A 38-year-old man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officer Tawny Wright, a Fairfax police spokeswoman, said Nguyen stopped working at the shop voluntarily relatively recently.
She said there had been arguments between Nguyen and another store employee and police believe the disputes led to the shooting.
