Twitter users hoping to use their accounts to support an advocacy effort on behalf of “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson –the website IStandWithPhil.com — are being thwarted by the social media site, which has branded the petition page “spammy or unsafe.”

“We’re encouraging supporters to be heard, tweet the @support or @twitter account, and use their other means of communication to get IStandWithPhil.com back online,” said Chris Stone, Founder of Faith Driven Consumer, said in a release on the social media “shutdown.”
