WHO: Congressional staff employees
WHAT: Nearly 700 Hill staffers are delinquent on their federal tax bills for the current year, according to the Washington Post. The House average delinquency is $12,787, while the Senate average delinquency is $15,498.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Like all federal employees, congressional staffers are paid with tax dollars collected from working Americans who paid up whether they liked it or not.
WHERE TO VENT: Call Rep. Jason Chafetz at 202-225-3121 and tell him you like his bill requiring that tax delinquents on the federal payroll be fired.
