Comedian Patton Oswalt is trying to stay relevant. His most recent stunt, an incredibly stupid tweet that has backfired spectacularly. The doughy comedian had the gall to shoot off a tweet insulting the president. Haven’t comedians learned by now that insulting the president is a bad idea?

Calling Donald Trump “Mr. President” is the same as calling a dumb person “Einstein.”

However, as many people pointed out to the dried-up sitcom extra, Donald Trump is actually the president whether Patton Oswalt likes it or not.
Check out the chorus of tweets in response to the idiotic pontification of Oswalt.
Stick to dialogue someone else writes for you. Original thinking is not your strong suit.

How edgy, a comedian that doesn’t like Trump

Don’t have to respect him, but for Christ sakes show the presidency some respect. Wanting him to fail is wanting the U.S.A. to fail.

Fellow liberals aren’t even sticking up for the stupidity.
I might take heat for this, and im anti Trump, but don’t we also need to respect the office since there will be Presidents after him??

You’re better than that. Respect the office, even if he doesn’t.

This begs the question, were the 4,284 retweets and 26,479 likes (at time of publication) worth it?
At the end of the day, even if you don’t like Donald Trump, he is still the President of the United States. Even people like Lindsay Lohan are calling for people to stop bullying Trump and to give the man a chance. It is incredible that this far into Trump’s presidency, people still need to be reminded that Trump is #MyPresident and he’s #YourPresident, too.
