Jon Stewart expressed his outrage at the “unbelievable” fact that President Obama was a “no show” to the Paris unity march this weekend following the Charlie Hebdo terror attack on Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show.”
“How could Obama not be there?!” Stewart exclaimed, pointing out the fact that many of the nations represented at the rally — Russia, Turkey, and others — don’t even themselves appear to support free speech.
“Couldn’t have Obama at least sent a friend?” Stewart later wondered, spotlighting the fact that Attorney General Eric Holder — who was in Paris for counterterrorism meetings at the time — didn’t attend the rally.
“What the f–k?” asked a bewildered Stewart.
“You’re probably taking advantage of the shortest tourist lines in French history,” Stewart said, mocking Holder. “While the march is going on, you’re just kicking back, snapping selfies with the Mona Lisa, stealing Catacombs bones, finally getting a table at France’s most popular rat-owned bistro.”
Find out what Stewart had to say when he learned that Secretary of State John Kerry will visit France this week to make up for the mishap.
