Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick blasted President Joe Biden for having “no heart” in his handling of the southern border, claiming the president is making cold calculations to boost the political fortunes of the Democratic Party.
“They’re looking at adding potentially 30 million votes in the next 10 to 20 years so that we’re a one-party country. This is a leftist-Marxist long-term move,” the Republican said in a Fox Business interview that aired Sunday morning.
“I don’t want to say a stooge. I don’t want to insult the president, although we see by his actions and his words, he often acts like a stooge,” Patrick continued. Democrats are “using this man for their leftist-Marxist agenda to take over this country. America better realize this is not hyperbole. This is what’s happening because you cannot explain it otherwise. No reasonable human being in the White House would allow this to happen on the border.”
Patrick discussed the Biden administration’s plan to end in May the Trump-era public health policy that has permitted the United States to turn away migrants because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of illegal border crossings typically increases in the warmer months.
The practical effect of this policy decision is a “constitutional crisis,” resulting in higher crime and a “catastrophe” for schools, Patrick said.

“Most of these children who come here are two and three years behind in the education system,” Patrick noted. “So we spend all of this money, we don’t have enough bilingual teachers. They’re there a few years, they drop out of school. So this is a catastrophe for our country, every city, every county, and it’s a catastrophe for these people.”
Patrick added that many of the women and children who cross the border become trafficking victims. He also drew attention to the crime and increase in illegal drugs entering the country.

“This president does not give a damn about the lives of Americans, about law enforcement,” Patrick stated emphatically. “This president, and I’m going to say it clearly, has no heart for anyone involved in this border crisis. He doesn’t care about our citizens. He doesn’t care about those being smuggled across the border.”
