Greatagain.gov: Trump’s campaign slogan becomes a government website

Donald Trump’s iconic “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan is now the domain name for the president-elect’s official transition website, where Americans can apply to work for his administration and familiarize themselves with his policy proposals.

Greatagain.gov first appeared online on Wednesday, hours after Trump won the presidency with a victory in Electoral College votes. The site promises to provide “timely and accurate information” about Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence as it relates to their events, appointments and various announcements.

Trump and his transition team must make more than 4,000 appointments to the federal government before he enters the White House, including more than 1,200 senior officials and cabinet members who will need to be confirmed by the Senate.

The website, which is accompanied by a new Twitter account, also includes a breakdown of the policy prescriptions Trump outlined during his White House bid. Topics include immigration, trade, regulatory and veterans administration reform, neatly folded into three categories: “making America secure again,” “aetting America back to work again” and creating a “government for the people again.”

Visitors to the website are invited to submit their suggestions for how to improve the country, much like other government websites have welcomed Americans’ feedback.

Trump and Pence will meet separately with Obama and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday.
