Ivanka Trump will be attending summer school with her five-year-old daughter to learn how to code.
Trump revealed the two would be taking a coding class together during an event at Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum.
“As a mom, I am trying to do my part, as well. My daughter, Arabella, and I are enrolling in a coding class this summer,” Trump said while speaking to middle school students, according to CNN.
“We’re excited to learn this incredibly important new language together,” she said. “Coding truly is the language of the future.”
The first daughter encouraged the young women in the group to pursue careers in STEM fields.
“Women make up 48 percent of the workforce but only 24 percent of STEM professionals,” she said. “I dare you to beat these statistics.”
Trump also urged the young men to “empower” their female classmates and “support them along the way.” Trump has recently taken on a greater role in her father’s administration, moving into an office in the West Wing.
