Trump’s mic briefly cut off at final presidential debate

President Trump’s mic appeared to be briefly cut off while he was explaining his healthcare plan.

After Trump said “we’re going to do even better” when finalizing his answer, his mic went quiet, and moderator Kristen Welker of NBC turned the question over to Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Biden’s mic, an hour into the debate, had yet to be cut.

The Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Monday, three days before the final debate in Nashville, Tennessee, that the event would have the microphone for one contender cut off during the other debater’s opening two-minute response to each question.

The rules change came after the first debate featured in a chaotic night of cross talk and constant interruptions by the candidates.
