The Arlington County Board will host a public hearing Tuesday night on its proposed 2012 budget.
County Manager Barbara Donnellan said there is “a solid basis for optimism” about Arlington’s economic recovery, as the county shows signs of life after the recession.
The hearing is at the County Board Room at 7 p.m.
Donnellan’s budget proposed no changes to Arlington’s property tax rate, though the board left its options open by advertising a one cent increase in the rate, to 96.8 cents per $100 of assessed value. The board cannot vote to adopt a rate higher than the one advertised.
A separate hearing on tax rates will be held on Thursday evening.
Those wishing to speak at either meeting may sign up online or at the hearing itself, but priority will be given to anyone who signs up in advance.
