Cruz accidentally removes pro-gun organizers from Second Amendment rally

HUDSON, N.H. — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was interrupted minutes after taking the stage at his Second Amendment rally Tuesday by two young men who he mistook for gun control protesters.

“Thank you so much for having us, I’m with ArmAmericans.org,” a young man told Cruz seconds after he’d stormed the stage.

“Why’s everyone so excited about guns?” the man asked.

“Sir, who are you and what’re you doing out here?” Cruz responded. “Are you a little bit confused?”

“You’re welcome to be in the crowd, but you are not part of this group,” Cruz told the man before motioning to security to have him removed.

“It’s almost like, did he not get the memo to live free or die?” Cruz quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.

John Nelson, one of the two young men who interrupted Cruz, later told the Washington Examiner they are part of an organization that hopes to arm every 16-year-old in America.

“I wouldn’t be surprised that by the end of election — because I’m a Ted Cruz supporter — I wouldn’t be surprised that once he gets elected, he pushed for something like this,” Nelson said.
