After a week of reports that Chris Christie fell asleep during a Bruce Springsteen concert, the New Jersey governor is fighting back. Christie told reporters in Trenton on Thursday that he was not sleeping but merely closing his eyes during a “spiritual moment” while Springsteen played “Rocky Ground.”
Initial reports suggested that the governor “visibly started fading” during “Rocky Ground,” and he was photographed with his head resting in his hand.
