Family of motorcyclist
killed in police crash sues
The family of a 20-year-old D.C. man who was killed after crashing a dirt bike into a police cruiser has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the District. In the lawsuit, the mother of Arnell Robinson accuses the officer of profiling and harassing young motorcycle drivers. Robinson, 20, was riding with several bikes during the March accident at O Street and New Jersey Avenue in Northwest Washington, police said. Police said at the time that the car was stopped when Robinson struck it. The family said the police tried to cover up evidence that the police car swerved into the path of the bikes to stop them.
