Arlington County board member Chris Zimmerman will serve as the board’s chairman in 2011.
Mary Hynes will serve as Vice-Chairman.
Current chairman Jay Fisette made the announcement at Thursday’s board meeting, shortly after Zimmerman was sworn in for another four-year term.
The county board members, all of them Democrats, typically take turns serving as chairman. Zimmerman previously served as chairman in 1998, 2002, and 2006. He has served as vice chairman in 2010.
