House Speaker Paul Ryan criticized Hillary Clinton Wednesday following a State Department watchdog report that the she violated rules during her tenure as secretary of state by setting up a personal email server.
“This report underscores what we already know about Hillary Clinton: she simply cannot be trusted,” Ryan, R-Wis., said in a statement. “Think about this, the highest ranking diplomat in the United States — the secretary of state — deliberately broke agency policy to serve her own interests. Her use of a private email server not only violated department policies, but it was also a clear security risk.”
Ryan said voters have the option to choose a “better path forward” with Republicans, who he said are set to unveil a “bold” agenda on taxes, healthcare reform, job creation and other issues.
“We will be rolling out this agenda in the coming weeks to the country, making the case why our ideas are better,” Ryan said.
