Baltimore County sheriff?s deputies recently arrested 28 child support violators owing nearly $600,000.
The sheriff?s office, working with this newspaper, published the photographs of 90 men and women who were skirting their child support payments. Members of the sheriff?s warrant squad arrested nearly a third of violators after their pictures appeared in the paper.
“It was very effective,” Sheriff Jay Fisher said of the operation. “We gained a lot of good intelligence.”
