Potholepalooza is back.
Beginning Tuesday, crews from the District Department of Transportation will begin a month-long campaign to repair potholes within 48 hours of being notified about them. It normally takes 72 hours for city workers to respond to pothole repair requests.
The mayor’s office said residents will be able to make requests for the street maintenance on the city’s website, through Twitter, by phone or using the District’s new smartphone app for city services.
The District has staged Potholepalooza since 2009. During the first three renditions of the event, city workers filled 19,000 potholes.
