The Rainforest Cafe in Towson Town Center has permanently closed its doors as part of the mall’s ongoing development of a luxury retail wing, according to a statement Monday by mall owners General Growth Properties.
The theme restaurant opened in 1999.
“In an effort to continue the expansion of Towson Town Center’s luxury wing, General Growth Properties acquired the Rainforest Cafe space from its parent company, Landry Restaurants Inc.,” Towson Town Senior General Manager Charles Crerand said in a statement.
