Former Fox contributor complains network’s handling of debate was unfair

Former Fox News contributor Dick Morris decried Fox News’ handling of Thursday’s Republican primary debate, saying in an interview Friday that he sees a “disturbing” trend at the cable news network.

The Fox moderators, including Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier and Chris Wallace, were so hostile to the top-tier Republican presidential candidates, that it was as if the infamously left-of-center MSNBC had hosted the debate, the former Clinton adviser said in an interview with Newsmax’s Steve Malzberg

Perhaps, Morris suggested, Fox’s moderators were instructed to be hard on the top-tier GOP candidates so that the network can “prove [it’s] impartial, that it’s not a conservative or Republican organ.”

Morris added that he thinks Fox is putting business interests ahead of the wants of its viewers, explaining later that he sees that as a “disturbing” trend.
