President Trump and members of his administration weighed in Thursday on the viral “Yanny vs. Laurel” meme which has set the Internet ablaze with a lighthearted debate.
In the short video posted to Twitter by the White House’s verified Twitter account, members of the Trump administration are seen debating whether they hear “Yanny” or “Laurel.” At the end, following Vice President Mike Pence, Trump shows up and jokes that he hears “covfefe,” a reference to a botched tweet he sent last year that sparked its own meme.

The debate began earlier this week when YouTuber Cloe Feldman tweeted a sound bite and asked followers whether they heard “Yanny” or “Laurel.” The clip sparked a massive debate over interpretations and it quickly went viral.
