Abbe Lowell, the lawyer White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, mistakenly responded to an email prankster about his client’s private email server Monday, according to a report Tuesday morning.
An unnamed prankster reported to the press that he emailed Lowell pretending to be Kushner and the lawyer fell for it.
In Lowell’s response to the prankster, he said he would need “to see all emails” he sent and received on his private email account, according to Business Insider.
Using the email account of “[email protected],” the prankster asked Lowell if he should hold onto “some correspondence on my private email … featuring adult content.”
“I think one was forwarded from a White House official, we had discussed a shared interest of sorts. It was unsolicited. Then there are a handful more, but not from officials,” the prankster said.
“I need to see I think all emails between you and WH (just for me and us),” Lowell wrote. “We need to send any officials emails to your WH account. Not stuff like you asked about. None of those are going anywhere.”
“But we can bury it?” the prankster replied. “I’m so embarrassed. It’s fairly specialist stuff, half naked women on a trampoline, standing on legoscenes, the tag for the movie was #standingOnTheLittlePeople :(”
Lowell said, “Don’t delete. Don’t send to anyone. Let’s chat in a bit.”
The incident marks the second time Lowell has been tricked by a Kushner impressionist who used “[email protected]” to contact him.
On Sunday, Kushner was reported to have set up a private email server during the transition period. A day later, his wife Ivanka Trump, was also determined to have used the private email server.
