Speaker Paul Ryan is calling on President Obama to release the Orlando shooter’s full 911 call transcript, without censoring references to ISIS.
In a statement, Ryan called the Obama administrations decision to censor, “preposterous.”
“Selectively editing this transcript is preposterous. We know the shooter was a radical Islamist extremist inspired by ISIS. We also know he intentionally targeted the LGBT community. The administration should release the full, unredacted transcript so the public is clear-eyed about who did this and why.”
Ryan’s statement follows a report that references to Islamic terrorism would be edited out of the transcript.
