In a year that did not feature a powerhouse album — like last year’s “21” from Adele — this year’s Grammy nominations showed a wide variety of artists up for awards. Six artists — Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, fun. and the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach — all tied for the most nominations with six. No real surprises or snubs, but “Call Me Maybe” is up for Song of the Year and One Direction did NOT get nominated for Best New Artist. Here are the nominees in the major catgories.
