Jamison & Gooden not playing; reports of 3-team trade

The signs were there this morning, when Drew Gooden was at Wizards practice, but hedged about his future.

“If there’s going to be a number, it’s going to be number 90,” said Gooden, along with, “I’m a Washington Wizard, and we’ll see what happens.”

Those signs got stronger just about the time Wizards head coach Flip Saunders was expected to have his pregame chat with the media, and was pulled aside by Wizards PR staff before coming back to talk, and telling the media that Gooden wasn’t playing.

Now, there are reports that a three-team deal is in about to go down:

The Wizards get: Zydrunas Ilgauskas and a 1st round draft pick from Cleveland, Al Thornton and Brian Skinner from the Los Angeles Clippers

The Cleveland Cavaliers get: Antawn Jamison from Washington, and Sebastian Telfair from the Clippers

The L.A. Clippers get: Gooden

The Wizards are starting Andray Blatche, Nick Young, Randy Foye, Mike Miller and JaVale McGee against the Timberwolves….
