If Martin O’Malley runs for president, he’ll be running to win. He made the comment this morning in an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe:
“You don’t get into races unless you’re committed to win,” O’Malley said. “I would be running to not only to win but to govern well, to make the case to the people of the country there are better choices we can make together that will make wages go up and to make college more affordable for our kids again.”
On Hillary’s inevitability, he said, “Look, every year there is the — I mean, most years there’s the inevitable front-runner and that inevitable front-runner is inevitable up until he or she is no longer inevitable. So I think you’re going to see a robust conversation among the Democratic party about how we restore our middle class and middle class opportunity. ”
O’Malley also said that if he becomes president, it wouldd be “important” to him that his secretary of state use the State Department’s email server. But it wouldd be more important, he said, to make the economy work and to get wages up.
