Washington explains election results to Hollywood

Hollywood gives Washington movies, and Washington gives Hollywood, well, pundits. Three local talking heads were exported to Los Angeles Monday night to discuss the midterm election results with members of the entertainment industry. CNN contributors Roland Martin and Alex Castellanos debated each other on President Obama, President Bush, Speaker Pelosi, Congress and the Tea Party, while the third panelist, CNN’s National Political Correspondent Jessica Yellin, tried sticking to the middle ground. UCLA’s Lynn Vavreck, an associate professor of political science, moderated. More than 150 members of the entertainment community, including talent, writers, directors, producers, studio execs, agents, managers and publicists, attended the event, but sadly no A-listers. The discussion was sponsored by the D.C.-based Artists & Athletes Alliance and UCLA, and held at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles.
