President-elect Trump welcomed Tiger Woods back to the golf course Saturday two days after the athlete made his long-awaited return to the sport at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas after being sidelined with injuries for more than a year.
In a Saturday morning tweet, Trump called Woods “special” and welcomed him back to the PGA Tour ahead of the third round of the Hero World Challenge after Woods posted a 65 on Friday.
“‘@TigerWoods: Can’t wait to get back out there and mix it up with the boys. –TW #heroworldchallenge’,” Trump tweeted, quoting a Woods tweet from Thursday before adding his two cents.
“Great to have you back Tiger – Special!” he wrote.
