A Severn couple was arrested Sunday after Anne Arundel police said they threatened officers with a butcher knife, while their son was taken into custody for assault.
Police arrived about 11:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of Severn Road, where Jeremy Glodek, 20, got out of a car and tried to assault two officers, police said.

After police arrested Glodek, his father pulled a butcher knife out of his jacket and tried to stab one of the officers, police said.
The father dropped the knife when ordered to do so, police said, and the mother then attempted to pick up the knife, but was ordered to stop.
The mother then struck a fourth officer, police said.
Glodek was charged with several counts of assault and lesser charges, police said.
His father, Jerald Glodek, 56, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, carrying a deadly weapon with intent to injure, assault and related charges, police said.
The mother, Debra Glodek, 57, was charged with second-degree assault.
