Memo to Sen. Al Franken: Lawmaking is not as thrilling as the your last gig, but do act like you’re interested.
The comedian-turned-politician was caught doodling a sketch of Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., in his notebook on Tuesday by an Associated Press photographer.
It was only day two of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, and Franken could not keep it together. From Fox News video footage, it seems the Minnesota Democrat was dozing off, as well.
His office did not respond to a request for comment.
