We’re beginning to hear some of the names attached to this year’s Susan G. Komen Honoring the Promise gala.
The presenters and performers at the gala, which will be held at the Kennedy Center in late October, include “The L Word” and “Flashdance’s” Jennifer Beals, singer Natasha Bedingfield and hip-hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari (who counts Bill and Hillary Clinton among her big fans.) Also, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, opera singer Denyce Graves and Donald Faison of the hit TV show “Scrubs” and the 90s flick “Clueless” will be on stage. We hear Faison also plans to bring his fiancee, Jessica Simpson‘s gal pal CaCee Cobb. Local philanthropist Annie Totah will also play a role.
The “Today Show’s” Hoda Kotb will serve as the emcee for the evening and NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, who told the public last week she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer, are serving on the gala’s honorary Women in the Media Committee.
Honoring the Promise will take place on Oct. 28.
