Jindal raises visibility for 2016 presidential bid

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is in D.C., raising his visibility ahead of a potential 2016 presidential bid.

At a breakfast Tuesday hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, the Republican criticized the Obama administration for “holding our economy hostage,” according to Talking Points Memo.

“The reality is right now we’ve got an administration in the Obama administration that are science deniers when it comes to harnessing America’s energy resources and potential to create good-paying jobs for our economy and for our future,” Jindal said.

He then hinted at running for president in 2016, saying “there’s no reason to be coy” about it, then revealing he will make a decision after November.

Jindal went to the Heritage Foundation after to discuss jobs and energy.

Ahead of both events, Jindal’s mini-think-tank, “America Next,” released a 48-page long energy plan Monday morning knocking the “radical left” energy policies of President Barack Obama.

Jindal ranks dead last among 10 potential 2016 GOP presidential candidates, a RealClearPolitics average of polls shows.
