Did you try to find a red bike to ride near Rosslyn or Courthouse this morning, but couldn’t? Arlington County sends along its apologies.
County officials jumped the gun in announcing the opening of four new Capital Bikeshare stations in Arlington this afternoon, this time near the Rosslyn and Courthouse Metro stations on the county’s stretch of the Orange Line.
An “internal coordination” error is to blame, according to Shannon Whalen-McDaniel, county transportation spokeswoman. It’s unclear when the stations will now be ready.
Capital Bikeshare’s red bike stations are already common in Crystal City and Potomac Yard. The program, which operates in the District as well, allows riders to rent bikes at one location and leave them at another.
