Before heading home, the former Tonight Show and current host of Jay Leno’s Garage posed for a photo with some of the medical professionals who helped in his recovery at the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in West Hills, California.

“It was a pleasure caring for Jay Leno, and we wish him a speedy recovery!” the hospital posted on Facebook.

Leno, 72, didn’t just stay in bed while at the burn center. He also served as an ambassador of sorts for the facility.

“He has been a remarkably kind and engaging resident,” Dr. Peter Grossman said at a news conference last week. “He was passing out cookies to some of the children here in the burn unit, and he’s incredibly compliant. And we’re very fortunate he’s been so kind to everybody here.”

Leno also received visits at the hospital from other celebrities, including Tim Allen, along with well wishes from fans and friends on social media.
