According to Sen. Mark Kirk, the fact that Sen. Lindsey Graham isn’t married makes him a “bro with no ho.”
The Illinois Republican made the comments about Graham, the South Carolina Republican currently running for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, during a Senate Appropriations Committee markup Thursday.
“I’ve been joking with Lindsey,” Kirk can be heard saying on the live microphone, according to audio captured by the Huffington Post. “Did you see that? He’s going to have a rotating first lady. He’s a bro with no ho.”
The comments come amid discussions of Graham’s bachelorhood and what would happen in terms of a first lady should he become the next president. In a Tuesday interview with the DailyMail.com, Graham promised to have a “rotating first lady” should he reside in the White House next year.
Kirk’s office said the senator was “joking around with his colleagues.”
