Sen. Bernie Sanders is trailing Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, but he pledged to continue his campaign until the bitter end.

“There is not a question whether if we are going to continue. We are going to continue,” Sanders said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday. “We’re going to fight this out until the last vote is cast. That’s what democracy is about.”

He said that would include going through June. “You cannot say that the largest state in this country, Califorina, you can’t determine who the nominee will be or what the agenda will be,” he said.

Sanders is more than 700 delegates behind Clinton, who is expected to handily win the party’s nomination by the convention in late July. He has, however, pushed Clinton to the left on many policies issues, including international trade and a federal minimum wage.
