Donald Trump’s winning presidential campaign did it with a direct-to-the-voter social media effort that ended up collecting an eye-popping 29.1 million, followers, about half of his total vote count.
The campaign concluded with @realDonaldTrump‘s social media following topping off at 29.1M.

Trump is likely to drive that into the White House and greatly expand the huge social media operation that President Obama has already created.
