Prince George’s County firefighters battled a blaze in a two-story single family home for nearly an hour Saturday morning, with flames engulfing the garage, second story and attic.
Officials were forced to fight the fire from the outside after a side wall of the house collapsed and another wall appeared to be in danger of collapsing — even after firefighters extinguished the flames at 9:50 a.m.
The family of four adults and two children was uninjured.
Officials do not yet know what caused the fire or how much damage was done by the blaze.
