Obama’s half-brother announced that he is on the Trump train in order to “make America great again,” voicing support for the Republican nominee.
“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart,” Malik Obama told the New York Post from his home in Kenya. He also said he would like to meet the Republican presidential candidate.
Malik Obama, who is 58 and has been a life-long Democrat, has expressed frustration over President Obama and Secretary Clinton’s decision to kill Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, whom he considered a friend. He even dedicated a biography that he wrote about his father to the Libyan leader, thanking him for his time as ruler back in 2012.
Malik Obama is also a strong opponent of gay marriage. “I feel like a Republican now because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me,” he reportedly told the Post.
The last straw for Obama, however, was Hillary Clinton’s email server. “She should have known better as the custodian of classified information,” he said.
Malik Obama is also tired of being the subject of so much attention and cannot wait for President Obama’s term to end so he “will finally be out of the limelight and be able to live like a human being.”
“Mr. Trump is providing something new and something fresh,” he concluded.
