Baltimore County officials will break ground on a new artificial turf field in Lutherville today.
The $1.5 million project at Seminary Park also includes renovating the existing natural grass baseball field and replacing a pavilion and adding more parking spaces, officials said.
The Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Council contributed $200,000 to the project. The remaining funds came from a state bond bill and $312,000 from Program Open Space, officials said.
A ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the park.
