Pakistani President Zardari managed to meet with President Obama after all, despite Obama;s apparent desire not to see Zardari during the NATO summit in Chicago.
Zardari “spoke briefly with the president and President Karzai [of Afghanistan] on the margins of the summit,” according to the White House.

Obama refused to meet Zardari more formally. “Patience with Pakistan is wearing thin, not just in the US but also in the Nato alliance,” a US official said, according to The Telegraph.
Pakistan has refused to re-open the supply lines that it closed after the friendly-fire incident between US troops and Pakistani forces late last year, as the country is now trying to force the United States to increase the amount it will pay for the border-crossings.
Obama dispatched Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to meet with Zardari rather than grant him a formal meeting.
