Conservatives should thank James O’Keefe and Project Veritas once again. The group does great work uncovering left-wing plots and crimes, such as uncovering a plot to poison gas President Trump’s Inaugural Ball, among many others.
Most recently, according to the Daily Wire, O’Keefe’s group decided to expose the corruption of teachers’ unions, and how they protect their own no matter what. And the group did just that — Project Veritas caught teachers’ union official Antonio Mankini, a staff organizer with United Educators of San Francisco, admitted on tape that he abused a student, saying he “made it look like an accident.” He also admitted that he knew of other abuses that were overlooked, with the teachers that had committed them still working.
The way O’Keefe generally does his undercover work is that he and a friend will go undercover and infiltrate the person they want to incriminate. In this case, O’Keefe sent two undercover journalists to the United Educators of San Francisco, with one posing as a teacher and the other acting as the teacher’s friend. The exchange between the two undercover journalists and Mankini can be seen in the video below:
According to SFGate, Mankini has been placed on administrative leave after Project Veritas’ video went viral, exposing the teachers’ unions’ corruption.
But, of course, the union said in its statement that Project Veritas’ methods for exposing corruption involve deception, lying and breaking laws for political gains. This further proves O’Keefe’s original theory — that the unions care more about their own leftist agenda than the students they profess to care about and dedicate their lives to teaching.
As I, along with many others in the conservative movement, have stated many times, the left hurts the people it claims to help. And this is not an accident. For the left, the main goal is gaining as much control and power as possible. This is the ideology’s main principle, and if the left has to break a few eggs to make an omelet, so be it. The students be damned.
We need more groups like Project Veritas and to support their work as publicly as possible. There’s a reason that O’Keefe may be one of the most hated people by the left — because he exposes them for the corruption that personifies who they really are.
